It was a rainy day today and we decided to visit the Imperial Summer Villa in Bad Ischl today.
The Emperor was a avid hunter and the whole villa is filled with trophies.
After the villa we visited the Imperial confectioner Zauner and tried some of his specialties.
Then we went to Hallstatt, which is a world heritage site.
People have been mining salt there since the Bronze Age.
The boys tried on some local hats.
There were lots of Chinese visitors in Hallstatt. They made a 1:1 copy of the town in China.
We also visited the bone house. This is where the bones from the grave yard were kept.
Some of the bones were painted according to the wishes of the deceased.
